# Interface & Operations

A guide to the main areas of the Screentell editor.

## Timeline Panel

The bottom section of the editor is the Timeline, where you control the timing of your video.

- **Tracks**:
  - **Video Track**: Shows thumbnails of your recording.
  - **Audio Waveform**: Visualizes the sound from your microphone and system audio.
  - **Sticker Track**: Shows bars for any added stickers.
- **Playhead**: The vertical line indicating the current frame. Drag the handle at the top to scrub through your video.
- **Trimming**: Drag the **Yellow Handles** at the start and end of the timeline to trim your video duration.
- **Zoom**: Use the slider or scroll wheel (if supported) to zoom in/out of the timeline for more precise editing.

## Inspector Panel

The left sidebar is the Inspector. It is **context-aware**, meaning it changes based on what you have selected.

- **No Selection**: Shows global project settings (Background, Padding, Aspect Ratio, Export).
- **Zoom Keyframe Selected**: Shows Zoom Level, Transition Speed, and Motion Style.
- **Camera Keyframe Selected**: Shows Camera Position, Size, and Motion Style.
- **Sticker Selected**: Shows Color, Text, Border, Roundness, and Animation options.
- **Camera Layer Selected**: Shows Shape, Border, and positioning options.

## Video Preview

The center area shows your video. You can directly interact with elements here:

- **Click** to add a keyframe.
- **Drag** stickers or the camera to move them.
- **Resize** elements using the blue corner handles.
