# Video Cropping

Remove unwanted parts of your screen recording to focus on what matters.

## [This is especially useful for hiding:](/content/docs/video-cropping#this-is-especially-useful-for-hiding/index.html)

- Browser tabs and address bars
- System taskbars or menu bars
- Sensitive information (notifications, personal data)
- Distracting UI elements

## [How to Crop](/content/docs/video-cropping#how-to-crop/index.html)

1. In top-center of the screen, click the **Crop Screen** button.
2. A dialog will pop up, drag the crop handles for each edge:
   - **Top**: Remove pixels from the top (e.g., browser tabs)
   - **Bottom**: Remove pixels from the bottom (e.g., taskbar)
   - **Left/Right**: Remove pixels from the sides
3. Confirm the crop by clicking the **Apply Crop** button.
4. The video preview updates in real-time as you adjust.
5. To remove the crop, on the top-center of the screen, click the **Crop Screen** button again, click the **Reset** button, and click the **Apply Crop** button.

## [💡 Tip](/content/docs/video-cropping#-tip/index.html)

Combine cropping with **Inset Mode** for a professional look: crop away the browser chrome, then add padding and a shadow to make your content pop.
